Dr Brian Chan BVSc (Hons) MVS, JP(NSW)

Veterinary Surgeon/ Practice Manager

2012 Outstanding Business Person Of The Year Finalist
 

Dr. Brian Chan has many years experience as a small animal veterinary practitioner. He graduated from the University of Sydney with an honour degree and has worked in Central Coast and Southern Sydney before he moved to the Old Toongabbie Veterinary Clinic.

 

He has a special interest in surgery and pocket pet medicine. Dr. Brian has some beautiful cats at home. But he has more pets than this. All patients who come into the door will be taken care of like his own pets! And he was awarded the 2012 outstanding business person of the year finalist for his passion for the customers! In 2014, Brian graduated from the Murdoch University with a Master Degree in Veterinary Studies. 

 

In his leisure time, Brian loves playing soccer and indoor futsal and he enjoys travelling with his lovely wife Flora with his three boys.

Freya Cade

Veterinary Nurse

Freya has joined our team since May 2011. Her love for all creatures lead her to be a WIRES volunteer where she enjoyed raising possums and caring for sick and injured wildlife.

 

She is also currently studying vet nursing at TAFE. Freya has her own mini zoo at home which includes her family pets of 2 dogs, 2 cats, a jungle python and a diamond python.

 

Plus many birds, lizards, turtles that she cares for short term and releases back into their natural habitat. Freya is married to her husband Sean with 2 boy Jacob and Liam. That keeps her busy on her time off.

Melissa Newman

Veterinary Nurse

Melissa joined our team in February 2016, she is currently in her third year of a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bio-Science Degree at the University of Sydney and has aspirations to continue her studies and become a Veterinarian.

 

She is passionate and dedicated to the welfare of all animals including her 2 horses, 4 dogs and 2 cats. 


In her time away from the clinic she enjoys competing in show jumping and eventing with her horse.

Bianca Paterson

Veterinary Nurse

Bianca joined the team in April 2018. In July 2017 she completed her Cert IV in Veterinary nursing but had been working as a trainee vet nurse for 4 years. 

Bianca grew up in the small town of Cowra raising 18 cattle from 3 days old. Caring for and raising animals of any species has always been a massive passion of hers since she was young. 

Bianca owns 2 rabbits, a lop-eared named Amino and a speckled straight-eared named Cody. In her spare time Bianca plays video games and enjoys collecting vinyl records and pop culture collectables.
